Final (11th June 2012)

"farid,farid!" a sweet voice rang in the air,the soft firm tone carried into my external acoustic meatus ,gave a light vibration to my tympanic membrae passing through all the anatomy of my ear. It was my mom..6.30 A.M and,she told me to get ready for the interview and I was like (-___-)!!! shito!. 

yes THE INTERVIEW. that interview. 

Indonesia Medical Programme under the collaboration with UiTM.

anxious and nervous. agagagag..

and guess what...

8.33 A.M I was late! gosh. (at bangunan canseleri UiTM Shah Alam)

I went into the auditorium and jama' was there waving! "farid here! sit"

so I decided to sat beside hanna . and mizah was there too..

there were only 25 of us that day. 8++ from diploma and others from foundation prgramme.

and guess what, only 4 boys were there including myself. talk about extinction! 

so yes I had to attend 2 interviews that day. one with the UiTM board and another one with the indonesians.

It was a 3 days interviews. group 1 on monday, group b on tuesday and so on.

so I'm in the group 1

dr Fauzan said that out of 240++ applicants only 80 were selected to the interview.

well, nothing much to say.

the 1st interview was with the UiTM staffs. 

(dr.Ramlan,Prof hamim and miss I dont remember her name)

all of them are from the faculty of medicine UiTM shah alam.

so it went well but I was a lil bit blur and speechless.

The interviewers barely asked me any question, they just asked me to explain about myself. 

so I have to speak up for the whole 15 minutes without a stop and when I ran out of ideas I came up with the same story all over again...BORING farid! yeah.

(-___-).but anyway it was OKAY....at the end of the interview Dr.ramlan asked me if I had any question so yes I came up with this question,

"when can I get my letter of acceptance"

and he said that I will get it after 2 weeks of the interview so I guess I have to wait. AGAIN!.AGAGAGagagag..

SO ANYWAY 

yeah  the 2nd interview went pretty well

alhamdulillah. 

 there were many questions asked.

these are some of the questions they asked me during the interview session 

explain yourself?

why do you want to become a doctor?

what do you know about medical?

I'm a smoker for ten years and describe what kind of disease I may have and explain the details?

What do you know about medical ethics?

what do you think about abortion and suicide bomber?

what and how do you know about hasanuddin unversity?

I can say that it was pretty easy but tricky.

and it was quite hard to understand the accent used by the indonesians

PEKAT GILA OKAY.

but I think I nailed the second interview! yeah! 

NOW I JUST HAVE TO WAIT.

Fearful

When my mom finally open her mouth and told me to visit the dental clinic and she really meant it.. I touched my nose eight times to the surface of the dinner table. CRAP. yeah . 

swollen gums, tootache, headache.

I've been dealing with them since last month. and its getting bad. yeah. 

"Well?" she asked and raised her faint, penciled eyebrows. "would you go to the dental clinic tomorrow's morning"

I looked down to the floor pretending to examine the fascinating plain tile

so yeah,with a lil bit of regrets and hesitation I said, "okay mom, i'll go"

shit, i had to surrender. have to get over of one of my biggest fear.

DENTAL CHECK UP.

so yes I went to the dental clinic and guess what....

by just one single look into my mouth the dentist make me a referral letter to go to the hospital for the dental surgery department!

SHIT HAPPENS!

and yeah I went to the hospital and already make my appointment .....my first dental surgery~

2nd of July . BIG DAY IT IS.\
but "lucky" me I have to postponed my surgery to 25th July

enough said I'm quite nervous and anxious.I hate dentist and I hate dental clinic.

fuck. :)

 so here is my diagnosis.

Impacted third molar teeth.

cause : unknown

treatment : minor surgery (extraction of the lower left third molar by local anesthetic of the alveolar nerve)

:(.I'm completely doomed~

yeah. alhamdulillah. selected for the interview. One step closer.

Obstacles

Okay okay . just a short writing for today.

so, yesterday we (I, jama') went to bangunan canseleri UiTM Shah Alam as we have to submit  our latest academic transcript for the indonesia medic programme . so yes, we've met en.shah the officer that will take care all of our appications and  also our way to indonesia sooner(amin). huh. and yep i got some really bad news. En.shah told us that there were 130++ applicants that are going to compete with us to get into the programme and most of them came from the foundation programme UiTM and only a few of us from diploma holders.. yea, goosebump! huhu.. so my chances to get into the programme is now just 50%! 

This is the only chance for me to become a doctor and I hope so! I can do this so, from now on I'm going to prepare for the  upcming interview. I'm going to reseacrh all the infos about the univerity, the R&D and also about global disease and everything. I have to win the panels heart and minds to get into this programme!

Assalamualaikum.

Entri pasal Unhas seperti yang dijanjikan. Jengjengjeng.. Baik, mengikut info yang saya terima, korang sekarang tengah get ready untuk interview kan? Owh, before that, mesti ada jugak yang masuk kelas seminggu tu, betul tak, betul tak? Terel kan guwa??  Hakhak

Guwa tak taw sangat pon pasal kelas seminggu tu. Tapi pada apa yang guwa tahu, korang yang join class tu kene bayar RM500 untuk cover penginapan, makan, minum, lecturer dan lain-lain dalam tempoh masa lebih kurang seminggu duduk kat UiTM Shah Alam. Ape yang korang belajar hagak-hagaknye?? Ala, basic science je, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Add Math.. eh, berat da kepala otak?? Relax, tu sumer latihan otak je sebelum duduk belajar kat Makassar ni. Huhu

Lepas habis kelas seminggu tu, korang terus ade interview. Ini menurut cerita-cerita non-fiksi dari kawan-kawan guwa la. So, pendek kata interview akan dibuat 2 sesi, bagi yang attend class dan tidak. Jadwal-jadwal ni tertakluk pada Unhas-UiTM sebab orang yang interview tu Makassar mariii..

Owh, seperti yang diberi tahu, senarai nama semua bende alah antara korang dan UiTM akan diberitahu oleh UiTM melalui emel.. ;))

Persediaan temuduga.

Untuk temuduga, setiap orang kene bayar USD150 ~ RM450. Rate tertakluk current exchange. Bayaran dibuat pada hari temuduga. Yang datang temuduga korang tu bukan calang-calang orang taw. Doktor-doktor semua tu. Pegang jawatan tinggi kat Fakultas Kedokteran (FK) Unhas  ni. Antaranya Prof. Irawan (Dekan FK), dr. Budu (Pembantu Dekan 1) dr. Mahmood (penyelaras program International Unhas). Masa kitorang dulu, Prof irawan takde. Ganti sape ntah.

Owh, gelaran doctor kat sini short form die dr. bukan Dr. macam kat Malaysia tuh. Entah. Tak pasti sangat la jawatan-jawatan ni.

Kak Yana kak Yana, ape yang dorang tanya ea masa interview nanti?

Ok, tak note bende ni. Ceh, tak penting pon.

1.       Dari mana anda tahu mengenai UNHAS?

2.       Anda pernah membuka situs (website) UNHAS?

3.       Apa pandangan anda tentang Unhas?

4.       Anda tahu apa itu sstem PBL?

5.       Penyakit-penyakit global/semasa  yang anda tahu.

Soklan dia ni beranak pinak taw. Contoh, untuk soalan no 1, kalau korang jawab ade kenalan di Unhas, so dorang akan tanya apa senior cakap, bla bla bla.. pandai la korang goreng eak.

Kak yana, interview bahasa ape??

Interview pakai bahasa ENGLISH yer adik-adikku sayang. Spekang la korang aritu. Korek telinga bersih-bersih dan asah pendengaran korang dalam bahasa English sebab slang dorang memang different ngan kite. Huruf R tebal. D tebal. V hilang ke mana.. karang tak pasal-pasal nganga plak korang.

Kak yana, nak bawak ape je ea?

Korang bawak diri, bawak hati yang ikhlas, bawak jiwa yang besar, bawak kwyakinan yang tinggi bawak bersabar jugak. Seab nak tunggu tu lama. Lagi-lagi kalau korang bajet nak last-last. Asar la korang kat UiTM. Jangan lupa bawak salinan IC korang, ma ayah, slip gaji, slip SPM, slip diploma or asasi. Ingat! Salinan taw!! Sijil menang itu ini takyah. Wat berat beg. Pastu gabra lebih..

Rasenye ini je kut yang penting. Tak ingat la ape lagi.. nanti tanye2 la lagi. So i leh take note unt entri. Hehe... coming soon,  life in makassar. insyaAllah sebelum korg beriye wat pasport, guwa post pasal ni. So takla korang tetibe stop setengah jalan je nanti. Hee..

The B and S trip

Hello guys, ouh yeah i forgot to tell all of ya about our trip to broga hills (27th of april). yep this picture was taken half an hour before the trip began as izzi and ichi decided to slept at my house. FYI this picture also was taken just exactly after we got home from the cinema watching THE AVENGERS (SUPER FRIGGING AWESOME). AND if you are smart ENOUGH you would say that "we haven't sleep at all before the trip' OKAY WHATEVER. we left the house at about 4.11 a.m.

We went by naqib's car. yeah. I barely open my eyes on our way there as i didn't get enough sleep.

and enough said. BAD LUCKS happened . i mean. stupid mistake.

Torchlight alert! yes. WE forgot to bring our own torchlight. FUCK. 

thank to god.... afiq had bring 2 extra torchlights for us. thank you afiq for your consideration letting us using your bicycle torch :)

so we arrived at the location half an hour later and the journey began.

bla bla bla bla. yea! we arrived at the top of the hills at approximately 5.15.43 a.m! and it was super dark and i have to use my camera flash to find the right spot for us. many people has already arrived too and set up their place waiting for the sun to rise. 

this is not us comparing our amount of "bulu" please don't take it in the wrong way okay.

we were just comparing our skin colors okay! haha! I'm the fairest :p

SPECTACULAR VIEW from the top of the hills. and we left the hill at 8.30 a.m! yeay. after we had our breakfast at some random 'kedai mamak' we decided, ouh NOPE! they decided to take their "morning bath" at sungai tekala located at ........ i DONT have any idea where it was.

 as the journey ended we were pretty much wrecked up and my head went all woozy because of the lack of sleep issue.  yea yea whatever. ......tett...
