the 4th week

Blurry.Absurd.Dark and Twisty

This lazy evening accompanied by a terrible grumbling from the antrum of my stomach running through with an abnormal periltalsis. I got food poisoning. they were my new bestfriend last week. Vomitting,nausea,fever and hectiness..but Alhamdulillah

after 4 days of MC.. I'm completely fine.

This is my 4th week being a medical student at Universitas Hasanuddin and still ...I'm so depress,...only god knows how depress I am, I may look happy outside but deep inside I feel like I've fell into the ground beaten endlessly trying to stand up ...but yes I'll stay strong.

I want to do this and I must survive this.

I need my strength ,this is my time yet there are so little time left, I need to move fast and quckly run,need to catch those heavy knowledge.
 mid EXAM next week and the final exam is just ahead from the corner .

wish and pray well for me.

its been a while since my last post.

I'm super duper busy these days with all the assignments,lab reports, ORIENTATION(pengkaderan) assignments, classes and blablabla..

hectic year ever. 2012. 

and my life began, 1st year med school.

Frankly speaking, it sucks, My ship is sinking,, slowly .I can barely breath ...

finishing our continuous assignments everyday...

EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED 

That's what the seniors said.

and yes I just realized the meaning and aware of that words.

it's not literally an advice,, it's a warning

BEWARE

yeah this is the hidden definition of it.

class start at 7 a.m and finish at 5.00 p.m

life here is very tough and unpredictable,, the toughest phase in my life so far. 
I'm still adapting with my surroundings

I hope I can survive this. InsyaAllah.

our 2nd week of lecture and there are so many to ingest.

Biochemistry.Physiology.Anatomy & Histology

we already learn about infusion and all the stuffs related to medicine, and it seems to move in a fast mode and I really need to be active to catch up....

there is only one thing that hold myself here,,learning medicine..yeah.. and I'm glad..

that's all

and we are going to enter muscoskeletal block by next week.

can't wait for cardio! :)

finally after a full month of fasting

1st of syawal we celebrate.

This year was different..yes..different from my previous experiences of celebrating raya 

 this year I had to celebrate my 1st of syawal in this own land of Makassar.

Being a stranger is one thing but far away from my family has tremendously affected my view about almost everything. Staying here,?..my feelings and thoughts?.

I realized that I became more grateful and modest.

How was it?

My first of syawal?

yeah it's okay and everyone seems to enjoy themselves.

The cheers and all the joyous moment we had.

Foot & steps

here I go. Currently in Makassar. Continuing my studies in medicine,,,even though the class hasn't started yet the eager to conquer knowledge is quite crucial here. Everyone tends to give their best for the upcoming semester that will be commenced on 27th of August.

Well, many people or shall I say about 95% of my friends had asked me the same question all over again for these past few days.

sorry guys but I only been here for about 2 weeks and and I can barely feel anything..YET... yeah I'm okay but not completely fine. The air I breathe in and out, the sun linings all over my "tanned' skin, the haze coming through my nostrils and all the things are in their physical attraction. I can feel them, yes , literally but ,, how about my conceptual thoughts and my emotion.?? somehow, this situation is pretty blur. SURREAL BLUR. but again, don't you worry , maybe , or eventually I'll get through this.Process of adaptation .. my new surroundings.
but there are also many things that I'm sure of..

1. I have totally lost my sense of fashion here (aku keluar gy mall pakai selipar je kot + serabut je muka) and I already loss 3 kg in a week :)

2. Sometimes bertindak cm bangla2 naik lorry bagai. and then, yes saya naik motor. jangan terkejut :p

3. bubur mcd murah rm 1.50 je.

4. burger mcd masin? and spicy chicken xde :(

5. sos  cili x sedap!  + serbuk cili x wujud kat sini.

6. tiap2 hari shopping beli brg2 yang x penting pun. sorry mama and baba membazir :P

7. batuk2 kering plus kulit merekah kering gila puasa kat sini.

8.  yang best kat RUSUN(hostel) ni ada tv? which? aku x pernah on kan pun switch dia.

9. every morning thanks masjid sini kejut sahur dengan memasang lagu maher zain?

10. pak taksi slalu charge lebih2 kalau x guna meter?

11. murah je naik pete paling mahal rm 1.50 je.

The Invitation (M.D) vs (MBBS)

yeah finally ~ Alhamdulillah

the offer letter has arrived and I'm going. yep..

will be flying to Makassar, Indonesia this 5th of August

and yep under "Dana Kecermelangan Tajaan UiTM"

77 of us. :). we are going to be a big big family. <3
and "lucky" us we are going to celebrate our 1st syawal there. grrrr..haha!

this is my decision so I guess I just have to bear with it.

I know its going to be tough & challenging but InsyaAllah I can get through this.

NO to Ijazah Sarjana Muda Perubatan Veterinar UMK

YES to Bachelor of Medical (M.D) Doctor of Medicine

so yes,,,, actually why the M.D? someone asked me?

why not MBBS?

 YEAH, I did search, THROUGH the internet about this and this is what I found

FIRST OF all let me define the word 

M.D (Doctor of Medicine)

MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery)

well even though the words are quite different but its basically just the same course..

only the name MBBS suggests that they are two separate degrees; however, in practice, they are usually treated as one and awarded together and it's the same as M.D 

so IN CONCLUSION M.D is equal MBBS.

cuma M.D  digunakan di US and MBBS digunakan di INDIA dan sebgainya.
